Eric and Tara's Wedding July 23, 2011 Plains, Montana

Finally the day arrived for Tara and Eric's wedding!

The Log "arbor" was built by Tara's Dad and Eric.
The flowers were daisies gathered at Eric's in Kalispell
and the wheat cut at Tara's in  Plains.

Dear Ones....

As I write this, we have traveled the 20 hours it takes to get from Oroville to Montana (including a slight detour to Missoula because of a fire 8 mi. north of St Regis), and are at Kathleen and Greg's counting down the hours to Eric and Tara's wedding.

We are settled in at a log cabin home about a mile from the Underhills.

The 3 kids are spending the nights at "our home" which means, games, videos and popcorn!

Have spent a couple of days shopping around, getting the final touches for the wedding... hats, boots and belts... as it is to be a cowboy/cowgirl wedding. Kathleen is spending every second trying to finish the myriad sewing projects involved with the wedding.

Yesterday in Kalispell, while we were waiting at the Hawaiian Shave Ice stand, Kathleen and I got caught in a sudden downpour that totally drenched us! Then it was clear blue skies.

Tomorrow we will be driving to Plains for the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. Then, Saturday.... the big event.

Will write more AFTER the wedding...

Dear Ones...

Hope you all are able to relax this week and enjoy some "play" time.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. However, the week-after-Christmas is right up there too! The air is crisp, it got really cold for Oroville... in the low 30's for many days, and sometimes it rained! Bonus!

Looking forward to a great year for the Bell Family, kids, grandkids and friends!

Love,
Mamawnanagramma......(Darlene)

Montana Vacation

To my Grandchildren...

Papa and I are up in Montana as I write this and nearing the end of our 2 week vacation visiting with the Underhills.

We have done 2 new things this trip. We went to a rodeo in Columbia Falls and saw Eric do some bull riding... without breaking anything! He looked good on his ride for all those 4 loooooooooong seconds! Right after the rodeo, we drove up to Big Creek for a 3 day camping trip beside the river. There were 18 of us all together camping, plus 3 dogs and "Bob" (whom I will enlighten you about in my next blog).

Yesterday was a special day for Matthew... It was his 11th birthday and boy, was
he excited. He wanted Legos and Bionicles and received several, so he was on top of the world! Like Kathleen, he did not want a birthday cake, but liked donuts and ice cream. Of course pizza was for dinner!

Hope you will all respond sometime and I will try and keep you posted about all of the super, extraordinary happenings that Papa and I experience in the future!

Love.... xoxox P.S. Nora helped me create this blog... I could never have done it by myself. Thanks Nim! The name of her blog is Nim's World. You get to it by typing in....http://www.thenimworld.blogspot.com
